Full Stack Developer - Web Designer - Freelancer
I’m an extremely high energy, passionate, self-motivated, supportive, and caring individual. I seek to help others, especially in achieving their potential and success. I look forward to continuing in networking and cultivating my blossoming career. I’m a self-taught Software Developer looking to switch career fields from sales management & early childhood education. Previous employment taught me strong customer service, sales, management, teaching, and training skills which are applicable to any field of work. I’m continuing to build my portfolio and refine my software development skills. My goal is to become a Full-Stack Developer by early 2022. I’m located in the Chicagoland area and would prefer remote work (though I’m open to in-person.)
I’m a member of a private Coding Mentorship Program (CMP) founded by Amber Meritt which I co-founded with her. We are currently in development. I’m a Full-Stack Developer in CMP and the project manager. I’ve participated in two hackathons in 2021. Girl Develop It & Mintbean's Hiring Hackathon for Jr Web Devs. In the GDI Hackathon, I was the Team Lead (a team of 9) for my app idea proposal: an educational recycling game & resource for children and adults. I presented the final project before a panel of judges and recruiters. My team received an award from the GDI Judges as one of the "Best Games" in the event (along with 4 other projects, our project was 3rd.) In the Mintbean Hackathon, I created a working Paint App (see project section) within the event's allotted time frame on a solo team.
